The third grade

I needed some paper so I pulled out an old notebook from somewhere around the house, and I found the following relic from the third grade:

"If I Could Live Forever What Would I Do"

9 was the age I was when I became terrified of death. The fear and dread have been getting worse and worse ever since. I wish I could see the bad things about living forever, because right now eternal life is all I want.

I'm terrified of eternal life actually. I really don't mind the dying part, especially if it is timely, or painless, or instantaneous. I'm more terrified of the psychological and or mental pain I could be forced to endure while living. Being alive is being in a state of vulnerability, which makes me nervous sometimes.

love it. honestly, what we said when we were little really dictates a lot about our future characters.
"yael is always eager to rally her classmates in dance, and is very good at coloring"- report card, age 5.
