they have humane traps... they're a bit more expensive, but they're reuseable, and you can just let the thing loose in a park or whatever... but yea... i know how it is... i hate mouse traps...

I couldn't do the humane traps, just because there is really nowhere around here to let them loose that they wouldn't be inconveniencing someone else.

they also have those sticky pads you can put down, and when the mouse gets on it he's stuck...

of course that's really less humane because all you're going to do is throw the thing in the garbage, mouse and all, and he'd slowly die of starvation and thirst... so really the trap that kills them quickly (with some help from a shoe...) isnt that bad...
