Now its time for an update to a post entry of two years ago whereby I personally witness a crime happening in my former work place.

Technically since I've changed jobs last year, I never mention much of my previous work place other than going over for a quick chat with some of the older staff and doing some shopping with them.

So the big question is, who will hire M now that he has a criminal conviction and since he definitely wont be getting a positive reference from his former manager? I can't think of many employers or jobs that are easily obtainable or that require minimal skills that don't require some level of trust in staff. :/

RM5,000 is NOT worth ruining the rest of a working career. And what a dodo not to realise a major brand store would run inventory checks. If they look over security video, they'd probably catch him in the act, too. That wont look good in court.

Have you heard of something called the fraud triangle? It basically explains there are three parts to a fraud. 1) An Opportunity, 2) Motivation (ie. bills to pay, gambling addiction, debt to "bad guys") and 3) Justification (ie. "The store makes millions, what's RM50 here and there?").
