Well, my little guy is 4 weeks old today. He's up to 7 pounds, 9.4 ounces. Pretty good considering he was 6, 5 at birth. Last week when I met with the lactation consultant he was 7.1 so he's gaining well. jweinberg and I switched him to formula which is helping. Nursing just wasn't going well. I gave it a good 3 weeks. So for the third year now, jweinberg and I hosted Thanksgiving at our place.  It was a very nice evening with his parents and sister, my mom who flew up from Southern California (finally for more than 2 days!!) and the company of eastbayted  and duckwhisperer.  A good time was had by all!!  The in-laws all got along which is always a plus, the food turned out great and eastbayted and duckwhisperer  ( Read more... )

Just got back from a nice relaxing spa manicure/pedicure. I brought my own polish along as I have a bad habit of chipping my finger nails just after getting them done. Well, got home and was setting my stuff on the counter and the polish slipped from my hand, shattering all over the floor. As my hubby said, my polish got polished! A lovely sea ( Read more... )

So over the weekend as I was checking my email I noticed I had received several emails from some company in Florida confirming my order and that it had been shipped. Apparently they thought I was some guy in Michigan who had ordered some Charlie Brown sheets. I replied that they must have sent me that email in error as I was not the customer ( Read more... )

Well I'm back. I was visiting my mom in So Cal for a week or so. For the most part it was actually a good trip.
