Ok so it has been rather more than 30 days since i posted last but such is life. I am on new medication now which makes me hyper manic in the morning and then i crash at about 4pm and just sleep for hours. That last bit was so poetic - and you're right, that is what fanfiction does at its best. It illuminates and adds depth and even mystery to the original.

I really enjoy the stories that you start off write AU (your Left Behind series comes to mind), as well as the ones where you fill in pieces that seem to be missing (the fic you wrote based on "Love in an Elevator" is a perfect example of one of my favorites!)
I've found that the more fanfiction I fall in love with, the less I seem to enjoy the original fandom. There are just some things in fanfiction that explain things so much better or go in a direction I desperately wish the original show had taken. Maybe some of it has to do with the idea of "the movie was good but the book way so much better," I'm not certain. Whatever the reason, I'm glad for creators of fandoms, but I'm even more grateful for great fanfiction writers. :)
