Title: Don't Go
Characters/Pairing: Jaebeom/Taecyeon, OT7
Rating: PG
Genre: Bromance, fluff, angst
Summary: A drabble-like collection, mostly TaecJay centric.
A/N: The TaecJay fic I've been meaning to write for a while now, because there needs to be more TaecJay. Love this pairing <3 Inspired by Jun.K's solo Don't Go.
Chapter List Prologue:
Sometimes Jay wished that Taec was with him from the very moment he entered JYP Entertainment. It would’ve made life much easier, considering the fact that Jay knew next to nothing about Korea and the language and Taec was competent in both having been born in South Korea. But it wasn’t just the language barrier that Jay wished Taec was with him from the very start.
He wished Taec was with him to the very end, till 2PM were old grandpas that couldn’t even stand, but even if they were that old, Jay still believes, well believed, that grandpa 2PM would still be hot and have screaming fans dancing and singing to their songs.
But like all things, nothing stays good forever, and Jay found himself packing his bags to move back to Seattle. He was hoping he wouldn’t be moving back for good, but being the cruel world we lived in, he never returned to Seoul like he promised, he never went back to being 2PM’s leader neither did he go back to being Taec’s more than best friend. It sucked, it really did.
xXx
Taec doesn’t regret auditioning, he got to meet a bunch of awesome trainees and even debut with six other guys who were like family to him now. Taec was also glad that there were a couple of other members, Khun and Jay, who spoke English but he was glad that one in particular took a liking to him, although it did take a while for Taec to introduce Jay (Khun picked up quite fast) to all the Korean customs, manners and such.
He was definitely glad to have a successful debut, with the six best guys he could have as his band mates no less, and better yet, a leader that never failed to make him smile, even if he had to correct the Seattle b-boy’s Korean every sentence.
When Jay announced he was leaving, it was like a bullet to Taec’s heart, and he knew the other members were hit hard by it as well. They all tried to convince Jay to stay, Taec tried even harder, he already left his family back in Boston, and he couldn’t leave Jay as well, more like Jay couldn’t leave him. He just couldn’t leave, not now, not ever. And especially not when 2PM were at the peak of their popularity, it just didn’t work like that.
