Author's Note: READERS!! I'M SOO SUPPER OMG SOO SORRY!!. So I've kinda neglected this fic (omg it's 2013..like 2 years almost since the last update) and I kinda lost the feel for this fic. I reread it and cringed and omg I wanted to redo the whole fic BUT I STOPPED. I've had this story all planned out but it's the actual writing it out that is not..really..working. Anyone this was my short rant and I'm sorry but as much as I've lost the feel, I still have some feelings so I still plan on finishing this story. So anyways, I'll stop my note there and present the next chapter. Enjoy readers!!

Chapter 44: Revised Jealousy Plan

Finally reaching the Bach after what seemed like forever (mostly due to the tension between the two lovebirds), the gang quickly divided into rooms. There were four bedrooms; one king sized bed, two queen beds in one, and two single sized beds that occupied two bedrooms. The master bedroom what initially was thought to be Asuka and Taecyeon’s room was now taken by Chansung and Nichkhun, but knowing Chansung, Nichkhun was quietly pleased that he would ultimately have the master bedroom to himself. Asuka had chosen to bunk with her girlfriends instead and Taecyeon chose to room with Junsu (well it was default as Wooyoung and Junho claimed one bedroom already). It wasn’t all bad as 2PM seemed to stick with their usual rooming arrangements.

Lexi, Nichkhun, Junho and Ana regrouped in the open plan living area knowing that Asuka and Taecyeon would be locked in their respective rooms for what looked like the rest of the night. It took longer than expected reaching the location (due to their many random pit stops) and by the time everyone had settled into their rooms it was already dark and the time was almost 8:30PM. Yuki went with the remaining three to grab dinner.

Lexi needed to review her “Jealousy Plan” as it seemed it wouldn’t be working as well as they thought it would.

Jealousy could either make or break their relationship though and Nichkhun wasn’t too keen on spending the rest of their holiday trying to cheer up a moping rapper and an uncommunicative best friend. Yes, Nichkhun would admit that the idea of messing with his best friend would bring absolute joy to him but if something like this would ultimately end up destroying the couple (who after forever finally got together) he would never forgive himself.

“Maybe we shouldn’t do anything and leave it to them to sort out,” Junho suddenly said, almost reading Nichkhun’s thoughts. He had somehow found himself next to Lexi which did not turn out to be the best choice.

“But that just defeats the purpose then,” Lexi's voice dominated.

Junho was about to retaliate but was drowned out by the rest of them. He just sighed and sunk into his seat. He knew he couldn't win against this crowd. His group members were stubborn enough without the help from Asuka's friends. Junho sure knew how to pick them.

“I still don’t think it’s a good idea,” Nichkhun muttered.

Lexi didn’t miss this. “Look Khun, I’m not saying this isn’t gonna bring them back together but…” Lexi hesitated. The thought of messing with her roommate was so tempting but she knew that now was not the time. She was sure there would be another opportunity…soon?

Lexi’s initial thought was to just totally mess with Asuka seeing as she totally deserved payback for locking her out of her own place (and that wasn’t the first time either) as well as a few other situations which she did not want to recall. Yes, it was completely juvenile and petty on Lexi’s behalf but they had one of those friendships where one could mess with the other and still be best friends at the end of the day. And she learnt that from Nichkhun who she was sure shared the same thought-train…well did.

But now knowing that Asuka’s relationship with Taecyeon was on the rocks, Lexi knew she had to change up her so-called “Jealousy” plan in a way that would bring the two back…together? If Lexi played her cards correctly, it may just work in such a way that would drive Asuka into apologising (she hoped) first and ultimately mending their whole relationship so the two could finally live happily ever after. Yeah it was a long shot but Lexi knew that it would (well it should from what she had seen on Taecyeon’s end) at least bring them closer together, right? Okay so maybe it wasn’t so much of a jealousy plan but a “get-Asuka-and-Taecyeon-back-together” plan.

“But what?” Nichkhun questioned the roommate and Lexi sighed. “As much as I love the idea messing with those two, right now they’re messed up enough as it already is and I really don’t wanna tear apart their relationship even more, if that’s possible,”

Lexi sighed and prepared herself to say something she wouldn’t imagine herself ever saying when it came to Asuka Lee. It was something that she and Asuka would do together but never had there been a situation where Lexi found herself in this position.

“I think instead of...messing with our dear girl, it’s time we meddle in her relationship,”

Junho raised his eyebrow trying to make out what she said but luckily for him Ana explained to him what was happening. Ana and Asuka were the most competent in Korean given the fact they had a group of Korean girls in one of their classes that conversed with them on a daily basis.

“Meddle?” Nichkhun wasn’t sure if this would work given the couple’s stubborn nature but it was worth a shot.

“We have no other choice do we,” Ana spoke up, surprising the two. She was the soft-spoken one of the group. “Well unless you wanna deal with that,” she pointed towards the corridor, “for the next three days then I suggest we get those two to kiss-and-make-up.”

“I really don’t wanna deal with all that drama, Khun-hyung,” Junho agreed. “This is supposed to be a holiday,” he pouted.

The ceiling was of a wooden structure with wooden panels paved across the entire ceiling. Taecyeon was quite surprised that the girls managed to find such a place in a short amount of time, but given the fact that amongst them was Asuka, it was believable. She definitely had her way of organising such things in a short amount of time. And to a high standard too. He found it strange that such a talent wouldn’t be going to full use. She could’ve studied a degree in management or public relations but yet she was in the design field. Taecyeon wouldn’t complain though because she was quite skilled at that Photoshop and designy stuff. And she did have an eye for fashion so maybe she picked the right field. He still wondered how four students could manage to pay for a place like this. Hey Ok Taecyeon went to school too and he knew how hard it was on a student’s budget.

Luckily they were only staying for two nights so that shouldn’t be too hard on Asuka’s bank account. She was probably still broke from travelling around Asia though and that last minute flight change. Taecyeon shook his head to rid of such thoughts. Even with that fight (could he even call it that?) clear as day in his head he still couldn’t get these random thoughts of Asuka out of his head. All he could think about was these weird thoughts surrounding her but yet he knew it was over between them. There wasn’t really anything he could do now.

His phone lay in his right hand loosely as he stared back at the ceiling. A vibration shot up his arm followed by a ringtone. He smiled, knowing the only person who would be calling this number now. Automatically he pushed the answer button and brought his phone up to his ear.

“Took you long enough,”

“Where’s your manners? Have I taught you nothing, Taec?!”

He rolled his eyes, “What did you teach me, hyung?”

Taecyeon had messaged Jay earlier and by the tone of the text, it seemed as though the rapper was in dire need of help. Of course being the wonderful best friend Jay was, he immediately called Taecyeon to see what trouble was up in paradise. There was no guessing that Taecyeon was once again having problems with Asuka. It really began to worry Jay as Nichkhun had texted him the other day saying that the two were facing issues...again.

"How can you even say that? I taught you everything,” Jay said in mock disbelief. "Anyways what'd you two lovebirds do now?"

“Wha…oh my God, Khun?”

Jay only chuckled and that was all the response Taecyeon needed. For someone who left the group, he sure was chummy with all the boys. But Taecyeon was happy that Jay made the effort. And it was good because this was the time he needed advice from their leader.

“For someone who can’t even wish his best friend happy birthday, you sure know how to keep in touch,” Taecyeon mocked.

“Hey that was one time!!” Jay retorted causing laughter to his response. “On a more serious note, wanna tell me what happened, Romeo?”

Taecyeon groaned, “Have you been talking to Junsu too?” He had a feeling this Romeo and Juliet thing wasn’t gonna die anytime soon. “And nothing happened…” his voice trailed off. Taecyeon really did not want to recall any of that right now.

Curses were thrown from the other line and Taecyeon immediately regretted calling the male in the first place.

“Ugh! Taec, have you really learnt nothing?!” Jay began to lecture the rapper about not taking everything so seriously, especially with a girl like Asuka. She wasn’t like his previous girlfriends, she wasn’t very good at all that relationship stuff and--

“I know Jay, but can I really be in a relationship like that?”

Asuka really hated it when Taecyeon went all sulky. She understood that this time she was in the wrong but Taecyeon didn’t have to act like such a girl for lack of a better term. She had to admit that yes, this was not one of her finest moments but Asuka did not see why he had to act this way. The situation wasn't that bad was it?

Her memory was still failing her so she assumed he was still mad at her with the whole, "I love you," thing. Why she didn't recall the events was still a slight mystery to Asuka but she was guessing it had to do with that half empty bottle of tequila that she found lying down on the living room floor. That or she refused to remember. Asuka liked to believe that it was the former because blaming it on the alcohol was always so much easier. (Although the words “we’re done” constantly resonated in her head.) Asuka hoped that it was nothing and she was just recalling something she saw on TV.

She sighed as she started at the sets of outfits laid spread out on her blue and white beach towel. She still couldn’t decide on what to wear, not that she needed to or was ever faced with such a problem so she really did not understand what the hell was going on with her? For some strange reason (it wasn’t so strange, Asuka was just in denial) she felt the need to up her game and wear something…sexy. Yes, sexy. Something Asuka was not too keen on as she did not believe in going to such lengths to capture a man's attention. Taecyeon was seriously messing with her head more than she liked.

She knew there was something more and that whatever happened was probably leaning towards her fault. But Asuka being the person she was, couldn’t bring herself to confront Taecyeon first. She needed him to approach her first and the only way she could think of doing that was dressing all sexified-up (even though that was the stupidest move ever and proved of her never-ending stubbornness). She also secretly hoped that maybe this would shed some light about why he was mad and avoiding her. There really was no logic in what she was doing but Asuka wasn't going to rationalise her actions anytime soon.

A sound at the door caught her attention and she shoved her belongings in her bag. She looked up and was not at all surprised when she saw Junsu lingering by the door. He didn’t fail to miss the previous five seconds before the girl’s clothes disappeared into her bag.

“I thought you…umm…went to buy food,” Asuka commented rather awkwardly.

“We did, but we’re back,” Junsu plainly stated as he walked inside the room. He sat himself down on her bed and gave her that Junsu-oppa look that she hated so much.

“W-what?”

Before Junsu could begin his lecture Asuka knew he was preparing, Ana came in and signalled for dinner. The two gave a nod as she walked back down. Junsu got up and walked towards the door only to stop.

“Just, don’t think of doing anything stupid okay?” he said seriously, his back turned towards her. With that he walked out of the room and Asuka sighed. She fell forward onto her bed and let out a muffled scream.
