Return of the tooth

Dec 17, 2024 19:48

I went to the dentist this afternoon to get the crown I lost in China replaced.

When I lost it I was able to find it and put it in an empty tic-tac box and bring home with me.
The dentist told me it didn’t look damaged, and put it back on to see if it still fit.

Ironically, he couldn’t get it back off.
He pulled, he used dental floss, he used a lever.
Finally he told his assistant to "get the tool".
"It’s OK, you can say pliers," I told him.
"They’re not pliers," he replied. "They’re a very expensive dental instrument that just happen to look like pliers."

He got it off, cleaned it, then glued it back on.

The whole thing took less than half an hour. Which is much better than I expected.
And, he didn’t charge me for it.
So, double good.
