There's also the guys that install hidden passages.

While the hidden passages are cool in theory, I feel like the staircase is more practically cool. :)

(i.e. something I'd be more likely to admire each day rather than just very occasionally.)

They are all cool! The one with diagonal sloping planks in alternate directions would be really impractical, though.

It's always hard for me to tell how many of these are cool at first glance but would ultimately grow old, vs. how many of these would feel cool every time you saw them.
