Greetings from the business center of the Shigatze hotel.

Shigatze is a complete dust bowl right now. Every sidewalk is ripped up in preparations for the celebrations in early July. Based on my casual assessment, I don’t think they’re going to make it. They still seem to be in the “destroy everything,” phase of street repair. At some point,

Thank you for your posts. It's interesting to hear about another part of the world.

Here in Peru, they also seem to be destroying the road more than building it. One doctor said "wow, how industrious! They are fixing the roads!" and we had to tell him it was like this last year too.

So far nothing as crazy as yak penis, though we do have guinea pig and alpaca on the menu.
