A few weeks ago, I experienced a dream about getting a new apartment, inhabited with some fun-loving young people, completely oblivious to the fact that there were 3 deadly poisonous snakes on the loose in the apartment. There was what was probably a cottonmouth, a green mamba and a coral snake. I tried to avoid the snakes, whist trying to get done whatever it was I needed to do within the place. This became more and more agitating, as I began to encounter the snakes more often. It finally got to the point where I found a shovel, and began hunting them obstinately. I beat the cottonmouth to death, then observed the green mamba approaching one of the other human inhabitants from the side opposite me. He was sitting down upon the floor and wearing large, ear-encompassing headphones. I tried to warn him of the approaching snake, but he couldn't hear me. The snake slithered behind him, just as he leaned back and put his hands out to stabilize. The mamba then startled, began violently biting him, as I looked on helpless.
This dream was particularly strange, since in reality, faced with a similar scenario, I'd probably not care about the people featured in the dream, and would just leave the apartment and call animal control.
Last night, I had another dream, where I was moving into my grandmother's old '78 Ford Ranger, which had been converted into an apartment using an extended camper shell thing. The place was completely infested by sow bugs, and feeding on them, was a horde of scorpions and large spiders. In this dream, I had entered the place as many of what had to be exterminators were trying hopelessly to rid the truck of the infestations. I had many personal encounters with the arachnids, where I had to fling them off me, and avoid areas altogether, that were just nightmarish. I decided to leave the truck for some reason on my hands and feet, probably since the floor was a bit better than the ceiling. Towards the end, I was constantly getting stung by scorpions on my hands, which was probably alright, I figured, since we weren't in an area with a deadly variety...
