Haha, I dunno... Show production is more hands-on but with games, you get get add the music, the personality, the fashion! It's just sitting at a computer so much that is an issue.
Full Sail is a good school, but I would definitly do my research before going. I went in '99 for the Comp anim degree program, and though it's much better now, back then, they were still forming the courses, and the material would change mid-course.
It's a great school, but make sure you can do it with a minimal or no job. The hours arent reliable, and most places dont work around it.
I myself am driving from Tampa to Orlando DAILY, since monday. I landed a job with EA Tiburan, wich is in Maitland.
But I loved going to school there, and even though I didn't finish, it's an amazing experience, if you can afford it.
Just don't rely ont he school for job placement. Network w/ people, make good friend ships, don't screw anyone (even by accident), and when you get out, you can probly find something... if not, EA is always looking for Quality Assurance folks to test games, like what I'm doing.
Also though, IADT here in Tampa has similar degree programs.
There is an IADT here too, but I heard it's not so good, I was looking into their fashion design program awhile back.. Have you heard anything about it???
So.... You're a video game tester!? And you get paid for it!? Are you for serious!?
i actually got accepted at IADT in Tampa for the Fashion Design program and never went.:P due to not being able to get goveremnt grants..i made too much $$$ they said :P yea right...it is an awesome program.;) also... i checked into Academy of Art University in San Francisco that actually does online courses for Fashion Design and other courses too..they are an actual school and fully accredited... i am keeping them in mind. they have webcast classes, chat rooms and you can email your instructor and such.
