Not a cup half full kind of person, I'm afraid

I feel really sad tonight.  My son is turning 7 tomorrow - it's a wonderful thing, but it makes me feel...like I'm losing him somehow.  It's unreasonable and negative and I should give myself an attitude adjustment. I feel so excited to celebrate with him, and so overwhelmed by my own list of demands about motherhood
