Um, that was hardly trolling... :/

I think with the attitude involved and the fact that the person remained anonymous made that trolling...

That is strange that the person posted anonymously, but still....

You can have the best point in the world but if one doesn't have some tact, it'll typically be ignored as trolling. `^_^

Hm. That was pretty harsh of what the person said.

It can be difficult to get the motivation to leave a job that isn't going anywhere*coughs*, but that kind of stuff does take time. Once you leave still it's hard to go back, but you can.

Does what Anon said have any merit? Hard to say. You're making decent money, and it's a job that mostly likely won't last forever, and it's good to have "I worked at Microsoft" on your resume. But yes, your job doesn't seem to have much potential for moving up (if that's what you want).

Part of the appeal of this job though, is that it is gaurenteed to not stay this way. Come March or April, my contract will expire and I will have to leave this job anyway. If I still want to work at Microsoft, I can apply for another contract about three months after that. Further, I can use my earlier experience to justify asking for more (reasonable) compensation and can try to get a position more to my liking. Some jobs you might get stuck in, but this one makes oppertunity for change mandatory.

Lawl you are teh funneh. Why would it matter if I told you my name? You still wouldn't know me. Hell, you would probably think I made something up to throw you off. What difference would it make if I were John Doe or Jane Doe? You would still say I'm some internet coward poking fun at what appears to be a socially maladjusted individual. I don't know you, therefore all the posts you make are anonymous and cowardly. QED.

Please, if you're going to be original, make an effort.

QQ more. At the very least I give you credit for not calling me a cat raper and trying to "hack" me by tracing my IP. Good times, though, you made my week. Anyway, want a Halo 2 multiplayer beta disc? It doesn't even do well as a coaster.

Good lord! Chill out, dear. :D

Besides, I'm sure you can do better than tossing out petty insults aimed at his interests. Don't you want to call him fat, or maybe cast aspersions on his sexuality? Better yet, do something nice and progressive, like calling him a nigger-lover. That'll work like a charm, no doubt.

Anyway, want a trace of bravery? OH SHIT WAIT, you have no room in your overinflated ego to put a face on the insults. I'm so sorry, and I hope you recover from your unfortunate case of rampant megalomania soon.

Wow, petty insults. Yawn. Fat isn't fat anymore these days. Fat is obese, as average is overweight in the US. I'd like to think that he isn't obese. Sucks to be him if he is. He has already pointed out his inability in the sexual forefront, so why bother. Nigger-lover is progressive? Chappelle is pretty hip and popular I suppose. Coming up with good insults is, at least, not scraping the bottom of the barrel. Do I hear the grammar police coming too ( ... )

"Why not attack the core of an individual?" you ask. Why attack at all? Go ahead and challenge any and all beliefs you find, but I personally draw the line at attacks. Bravery is not equatable to brutality. One can be honest and straight-forward without being tactless.

Maybe he needs a slap in the face, but then again maybe he can make his own choices. Is it your life he's leading, or his own? Were it the former, you'd have something to say about it. Since it's the latter, I figure he can probably suss it out by himself.

GOOD NEWS

1. Take what Anon said to heart, because mean people will always be honest.
2. Don't let it get you down, just use it to help yourself work harder at living the way you want to live.
3. Most of us like you anyway.

I'm not going to say anything about who's right and who's wrong, because god knows I'm an idiot when it comes to these sorts of things. Just know that everyone everywhere has something valid to say, and it's your job to search it out through all the ego-stroking and mindless drivel.

*thumbs up*

BAD NEWS

4. The world is full of assholes like me ready to cut you down, especially in the corporate or business environments.
5. You don't seem to want to work harder at anything, other than finishing the next halo novel.
6. I really hope you mean his "friends" list. Although, generally, the world may seem like a nice place, nothing is free, and only likes you for your money. Given the chance you and a coworker have to go for the same raise, s/he's not going to let it default to you.

BAD NEWS

For good news to exist, it has to be compared with other news that is categorized as bad and determined not to exist in the good category. There is always bad news, and as of late, there's more of it too. You want some good news? I just saved a lot of money on my car insurance by switching to geico!
