[Which was to say - he really had no reason to. If he had needed something, he would have managed it - either by procuring it himself or coming to her if that was the best option. Though the mere question was a bit of an indulgence. It could have been a flat out No. . .which placed a very close second, mind you. She had simply offered him some decent information before, so why not play semi-sorta-almost nice?
