I went up to the city and hung out with Derick on Friday night. I'd met him when I was out with Corinne on Tuesday...the memory of that is spotty, but I had a great time. I also had a great time on Friday. We had spicy Chinese food, which I had been craving all week and a good (sober) chat about ourselves. Then we headed over to the p.p. happy hour

Sometimes I miss the craziness that is The City. I'm in the sameness of SLO this weekend.

I've only just begun to explore the city. I like the bustle that is the bay area, and lately, the city, but definitely miss SLO sometimes. Familiarity does not always breed contempt, does it?
