I've always loved Gene Wilder. I want to find a good biography on him. Or at least an E! true hollywood stories episode about him :)

Apparently, he wrote a memoir entitled "Kiss Me Like a Stranger" a few years ago. It chronicles his life up through Gilda's death. I must get this book. We should both read it and then discuss. OOH! We could start a comedian-bio/book club. Yeah?

Gene Wilder survived the cancer my grandma was just diagnosed with!

My grandma also has a fascination with Gilda Radner, so I also, of course, have had one as well.

Whaddya know, she was scared shitless to be put under for fear she would not come back, and guess what? She was RIGHT. Let me just say right here, that I want to be there for my death. All sedation does at that point is make it easier for the doctors.

At least nowdays cancer patients have the option to die at home with dignity. One can only home this is an option for all of us.

I am with you one-hundred percent. She knew what her body was going to do to her. She listened to her body, but no one else did. I'm sure that was a huge source of guilt for Gene. I would have felt terrible as well.
