Another family member has chimed in

My Aunt decided to go down and have a look at the same model of RV I'm in the process of purchasing, just to see what it's like. She called my mother and informed her that I have no need of anything so luxurious. I'd only need something like that if I was inviting the ladies over for Bridge Club ( Read more... )

Well, surely, dahling, how could one fit one's golf clubs into anything smaller?

I'm so sorry to hear that you're still going through all this shit. Tell them you need it to run your phone sex lines from.

I was thinking of telling them I needed the extra space for all the orgies. . . *g*

Hopefully it'll be over and done tomorrow. :D {{{{{{{{{G&T}}}}}}}}}}

Heaven forbid you buy something luxurious.

::makes a rude noise::

It's your house and it can be exactly what you want it to be.

I so agree! The thing that really gets me mad is that both my Mom and my Aunt have custom built, very beautiful homes. Why do I deserve less?

Still, I called my Mom today and told her that that was just about the snobbiest thing I'd ever heard, and she sort of laughed and said in a chagrined voice, "It is, isn't it?"

Oh, but in my family, my every purchase is put underneath the microscope!

I need to stop confiding when I buy something. It's the only way. ::nods::

And this is her business how?

::rolls eyes::

How very annoying! Sounds like someone is stuck in her own tiny world of The Way Things Are Done and refuses to acknowledge any other.

::hugs you::

It really is annoying! When I first decided to start traveling almost six years ago, my Aunt *insisted* that I needed to buy a travel trailer and a truck instead of an RV. She even faxed seventeen pages of floorplans to my mother (Auntie had a travel trailer). Finally, my Mom said, "Can you set up the trailer on your own?" To which my Aunt answered, "No." So Mom said, "Well, she doesn't have help, and RVs are easy for one person to set up." ::rolls eyes:: Never mind the fact that I didn't want a travel trailer and truck!

You nailed my Aunt's attitude on the head. Her way is the only way. Thank God she doesn't have actual control of me. *g*

Thank you so much for the hug. I really needed one. :) ::hugs you back::

That annoys me on so many levels. But hey, since YOU are the one buying it, it's no one's business but yours.

Ahhhh, but evidently this is a family decision? *g*

You have no idea how much this whole thing has annoyed the piss out of me. Hopefully, after tomorrow, it'll all be said and done, so this kind of thing will stop. Until next time. *rolls eyes*
