This is too weird

Okay. So, I'm going to be done with this assignment in two weeks, and let me tell you, it can't come soon enough. I'm ready for a break! There has been some seriously weird shit going on. One thing I've learned-- never NEVER stay in a place more than six months. After that it seems that they start thinking of me as an indentured servant perm- ( Read more... )

Honestly, take the bull by the horns and run with it. This may be the chance of a lifetime, and if you don't, you'll end up regretting it and being disgusted with yourself later.

You're right. Fiji has always been on my list of Places To See. If the dive buddy pans out, I'll probably do it. :D

Oh sweetie, go for it! It sounds like a fabulous opportunity.
Assuming the woman is a good dive buddy. Definitely check out that aspect of it.

And I'm sure you'll find another job in January. When the economy gets bad, temps are the employee of choice.

I'm definitely going to make sure she's a good dive buddy, but if it all pans out, I think I'm going to do it. Fiji is on my list of Places I Want to See.

It's a little early yet, but, umm, I've already bought another swim suit, so I think I'm definitely leaning that way. *g*

The job thing is worrisome, but I'm in a high demand field. And really, things usually work out. Thank you for the encouragement!

BTW, how is the condo thing going? I've been wondering. You should be moving in soon, right?

Of course the job thing will work out. ::nods::

We're closing on the condo on Nov 9th, so we still have some time yet. I've been busily fretting over everything. And now I have a job interview! Yay! It's a research admin position at the university I postdoc'd at. My husband works there, and my best friend in the world works there (different departments) and I'd really like to work there too. That's some serious job security, which is what I need right now. And it would be more money. So I have my fingers crossed that a) it will be the kind of job I want and b) that they'll want me. Eeee!

I'd be fretting too. It's my nature. *g*

I;m so exited for you about the job! It sounds perfect! I know you've periodically looked around for something new. I've got my fingers crossed for you! ::hugs you::
