Spent the day today at Silverwood, an amusement park over in Idaho. I haven't been to one in a very, very long time. I forgot how much fun they were! I was afraid I'd find the rides a little *too* thrilling, being older and supposedly wiser, and having a healthy fear of broken bones now, but I had a wonderful time ( Read more... )

Today, I have no hot water. I turned the waterheater on, just like I do every morning, and nothin. No pilot light light, no reassuring whoosh of propane being lit . . .just an eerie silence. I went out and looked, and the wires going from the control board to the elements are *melted*. WTF? How did that happen ( Read more... )
