He is hurt and feels like throwing up the dinner he ate earlier. His hair is tangled in spider webs and some others things he can’t see. He is hurt, hurt, hurt, blood rushing on his skin and dark marks across his arms, where he touched him, kissed him, and everything.
“I hate you,” he says, talking to nobody, to the shadows, to the man standing in front of him. “I hate you, fucking hate you.”
He feels ill and can hear his heart pounding, too fast, too erratic, too weak, and he knows he lost it the exact moment he let him enter. He is afraid, and the realization hurts more than any angry scratches on his arms. He can see his fangs and red eyes glowing. He is hurt, so fucking hurt, loosing too much blood and…
“I want you,” the man says - his skin is so white, almost ethereal, beautiful. He looks like an angel sent from the sky but Yoochun knows better. “You’re coming with me.”
“I’d rather die,’ Yoochun hisses. The pain is enough to make his eyes water but he wants to believe he’s strong enough to take it.
Jaejoong smiles and tips prettily his head on the side.
“Oh? Well… It’s as you wish.”
**
When he comes home, the word is spinning. Everything is colder, darker, nastier, and the weak sunlight burns him, like an iron pressed against his skin.
**
He refuses to leave his room and Yunho stops nagging him after being thrown against a wall.
**
“It’s time,” Jaejoong says.
He visits him at night when night falls, when even the moon is hidden behind slow and heavy clouds. Jaejoong loves darkness. Yoochun feels ill and refuses to open his eyes.
“Go away, never come back.”
“It won’t be possible, Yoochun…”
There is despair in Yoochun’s voice. “Please go…”
Jaejoong is laughing, his voice clear and melodious contrasting with the malice of his soul. “No way.”
His platinum hairs are glowing prettily in the shadows. He has this expression of pure satisfaction Yoochun can’t stand and wants to erase.
“You need to eat,” Jaejoong says.
“I can’t.”
“You need to learn to hunt,” Jaejoong whispers. “And I know the perfect prey.”
**
His roommates are worried. He can’t go out during the day and at night, craziness takes over. Jaejoong has buried a seed deep inside him, which is growing and overwhelming his mind. Junsu is scared and whimpers each time he meets him in the corridor. Yunho refuses to speak to him since the other night.
**
Jaejoong has confined Junsu in the basement, and Yunho has disappeared. Yoochun wonders if Jaejoong has devoured him or if he is keeping him for one of his vicious games. Yoochun isn’t sure he wants to know, anyway.
“He is yours,” Jaejoong says, showing the stairs leading to the cellar.
**
Junsu is delicious, the finest nectar he has never tasted. His skin is soft, warm, full of life, pulsing and so much delectable. Yoochun hasn’t felt himself existing for ages. He enjoys taking him while sucking his blood, but also his life, his purity and the broken fragments of hope Junsu tries to keep. Jaejoong observes them and laughs, his voice reverberating strangely against the walls.
**
Changmin is Yunho’s cousin and visits sometimes, giving news of the family.
“Where are they?” he asks Yoochun.
Yoochun lets him enter in the flat with all the lights turn off and offers him a drink.
“We have some problems with electricity,” he says to explain the darkness. “Junsu is sleeping.”
**
Jaejoong has taken a liking for Changmin and proposes him to club tonight. Yoochun can see his eyes shining with anticipation when the youngest said “yes”. He closes the door after them, wishing to never see them again.
**
“Let me go, let me go, let me go…”
Junsu’s litany doesn’t affect him. It’s so strange. Maybe it’s because his heart died when it had stopped beating as Park Yoochun, he muses, kissing the white skin under him in affection.
**
Yunho is alive but something in his eyes is missing. He has a gun and Yoochun can tell he also has silver bullets. He tries to be afraid but just can’t. A shame, he decides.
“Where is Junsu?” Yunho asks. He is frantic. “Where is he? What did you do? Where is Jaejoong? Where is Changmin?”
Too many questions, and no answers. Yunho will never see his cousin biting him from behind and sucking his blood until the last drop.
**
He hates Jaejoong so much, to have destroyed his life and all the people he loved.
**
Changmin is a fast learner. He is gaining more power night after night and can almost overpower Jaejoong. He begins with Yoochun. When Yoochun came back from a hunt - it’s hurt, it’s so fucking wrong, so crazy - Junsu had disappeared.
Yoochun feels his frozen blood boiling, boiling to the extent that it burns, and all he can hear is Changmin’s laugh echoing with Jaejoong’s.
**
He has kept Yunho’s gun after his death. And even if he can’t remember what it’s like to loose a friend, Yoochun tries to keep his memory and vows to avenge him.
**
Changmin has become strong, so strong he succeeds in putting Jaejoong into pieces. Yoochun burns his body and spread out the aches in the sun.
**
“Do you want him?” Changmin asks.
Junsu is kept in a cage swaying under the moonlight. He is unconscious and bleeding. Changmin’s eyes are burning with lust.
“He will be dead at dawn,” he promises, “And you won’t be able to do anything.”
**
Changmin isn’t defying him directly because he thinks Yoochun is too weak, Yoochun is nothing. He’s a failure Changmin doesn’t have time to deal with. Yoochun is happy with that. This way he can use Yunho’s gun to pierce Changmin’s heart with a silver bullet.
**
The sun is going to rise and spreading its light on the world. Junsu is dying and Yoochun is singing a song to him. It’s an old melody, something from the past. It talks about things he can’t understand anymore, Love, Friendship, Loyalty… He can’t help but feels nostalgic.
“Sleep,” he says to Junsu. He won’t wake up.
The first sunrays are burning his skin, killing him. Finally, he remembers something: he is Park Yoochun, and will die as him.
