I'm actually really glad I read this after Lightening Grounded, though I'm sure I would've enjoyed it just as much if I hadn't. I wasn't a huge fan of the Anders romance at first, but I am definitely coming around to it due to excellent writing such as your own. It's really not a story that's likely to have a happy ending.

It really isn't a happy ending sort of pairing at all, which is what intrigues me so much. While I have a few issues with bits of the actual in-game romance, I think that it does a good job at not being presented as a healthy, good relationship - because it so very much isn't.

I'm glad that you enjoyed these two stories!

I think that was my problem with the romance - so many times I caught myself going :/ "Uhh, this is not healthy" and it was hard for me to get into it. My poor Hawke was so bitter by the end of it all. But I can appreciate it for what it is, and I like these sorts of stories that don't try to glorify it and focus on the more human elements.

GUH!

Both of these pieces are so beautiful and heartbreaking, and your writing is just phenomenal. It breaks my heart, and I love the stories for that. <3 Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous job!

I keep using the words heart break in reference to Anders...and yet it fits way too well. I'm glad you liked my stories, and it's always nice to know something I write brings out the desired emotional reaction. :)
