Title: This State of Almost-Romance
Characters/Pairings: Spock/Uhura
Rating: PG? I fail at picking ratings
Warnings: Fluffiness, I suppose. Despite the title, this is most definitely romance.
Summary: Days will stretch out into the future, and nothing will change because neither one will make the next step in this almost-romance.

She will leave in moments and the door will slide shut behind her, and nothing will change. )

pairing: spock/uhura, star trek, fanfiction

Great story! I love your writing style and the way you added tension between the two.

Thank you! I love using this particular writing style, and I'm glad the tension that I was trying to write ended up showing.

Aww, that was so sweet! And I love the complexity of the language. You write beautifully.

These two are so much fun because I can write with this lovely complex language and have it be in character.

Glad you liked it.

"I have not participated in a kiss before."

Aaaaahhh!!!!

I love Nyota's inner voice here - her resigned plodding through their interactions.

Lovely!

That inner voice sort of took on a life of its own; it wasn't even planned to be like that, and then suddenly I had all of this stuff that Nyota's thinking...and I think it worked.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh. Wow. Amazing. I love how you crafted this--the "storytelling" voice and the "and then"s really propell the reader forward. And the awkward kiss! I love it!

Thank you! I love using repetition in writing and really showing a situation through things beyond simply she did this, he did that.

Plus, awkward kisses are so much fun!
