I posted a couple months ago about Ruby not talking and most likely needing speech therapy. Well, she's still not talking so we've started the process for speech therapy should start within the next month or so

Well, my Robert talks a lot, so I'm not coming at it from that angle.
I don't remember - have you had her hearing tested? A hearing difficulty can really impact speech development.
Is she saying anything at all? I mentioned in my last post that the little developmental sheet that my nurse gave us at Robert's 2 yr WBV said they should say about 20 words at age two... but again, that's the median! That means some are talking a lot and some aren't saying much at all.
You know your daughter better than anyone else, so I'm not trying to downplay your concerns. It really can't hurt to have her evaluated by a speech therapist. But, personally, I wouldn't worry too much yet. She might just be a late talker. I would bet that in a year you'll be straining to remember the girly who *didn't* speak =)
Yeah, we've got a referral for a hearing test and for speech therapy. I had the doctor look at her ears today and he said there is some dry wax in there, but nothing that would stop her from hearing and there was no redness. She hears me calling her from another room and if Elmo's on she can be in the bathroom with her Dad and come running in to see Elmo, so I don't think it's her hearing, but who knows.
She does say about 7 - 10 words and never stops babbling. She sings too, but it's just "ahhhhhh" or "ohhhhhh" she knows when I ask her to sing that she should do that, haha it's cute. I'm just wondering how many others aren't talking yet.
I will definately keep you all posted on her progress, I am so hoping that in 6 months or a year I will be complaining because she talks too much!
Gage is not talking. I'm not worrying about it. His dad didn't talk until he was over 3, my friend's son didn't talk until he was 2.5. All kids are different in what they do both early and late. My 7yo was talking and reading when he turned 2, very different.
