Non-cravings

Aug 30, 2006 18:03

At what point in pregnancy are you supposed to actually get food cravings? Because I'm in Week 16, and so far. Nothing. I still have a bit of an aversion to food, though not as bad as during the first trimester. But no food cravings. No desire to ravenously stuff my face with anything.

::sigh::

I've read that if you have a well-balanced diet, you really won't have too many food cravings. I'm in week 16, too, and really haven't craved anything. I'm not complaining, though, because I know I'd have no willpower if I did!;p

I have no willpower, either! So I'm largely thankful, but I'm also tired of being wary of food, too :/

I don't really have cravings for specific things...but every now and then I have to have chinese food or something from Red Lobster. lol...But other than that, I really haven't craved anything.

lol... I'm sorry, I couldn't help but laugh. My mom said when she was pregnant with me, she couldn't stay away from olives...AND she hated olives until she was pregnant with me.

I have a bunch of food aversion still - mostly meat so I do find myself wanting non-meat things. I wouldn't call it craving but I will think of something and thing to myself now that sounds good and then I make sure I get it in in the next couple days. There is nothing I want then and now.

UNfortunately for me I craved the same thing during my entire pregnancy with my son and now it began right away for me with this one too. Mc Donalds! It's going to be the death of me I swear! I am finding though that certain foods are making me sick such as hot roast beef and steak.So I pretty much can't eat red meat which sucks cause I'm definetly a carnivor.

I think it totally depends on the person, and some people don't even get them.

I sure am, though. I'm *thinks* 16w3d now, and since somewhere in the 15th week all I have wanted to eat is MEAT. ALL MEAT ALL THE TIME. The redder, the better. Dude, I don't like meat, especially red meat. I used to be a vegetarian. Also, I had a horrible meat aversion in the first trimester, and couldn't even look at it, or walk past the meat department of the supermarket without nearly vomiting. And now it is the only thing that I want. The other day, I was having a mad craving for liver and onions. Chicken or fish? NO! Turkey? Not a chance! I want cow! And buffalo! And, gah, if I could eat an elk, I probably would.

I think if you're not having uncontrollable cravings for bizarre foods that you don't normally eat, you're probably lucky. :)
