MFA application diary 2008

So, pretty much everyone knows this already, but I applied to MFA programs in playwriting this past winter. I had been afraid to publicly mention it in a blog before this even though I had talked about it to everyone pretty much constantly. Discussing it in a "public" setting like a blog was scary, so I wanted to wait until the process was all over ( Read more... )

You've stressed so much that you haven't written about the Disney cruise!!! Inquiring minds want to know!

That's right... I haven't written about the cruise at all, have I? You're right about the stress. :) So, I'd ideally like to include a few pictures when I do write about it, but last time I tried I couldn't figure out how to insert pictures from flickr into a (free-account) livejournal. I'll have to play around with that again. And actually get my pictures up on flickr. That would help. :)

Overall, it was amazing. I would definitely do another Disney cruise again. :) They have a lot to do for adults without kids, so we were never bored or stuck with nothing to do. The weakest part of the cruise was the port of Nassau itself, which didn't have a whole lot to offer and was kind of run-down, so we walked around there for two hours then went back on the boat and took advantage of the spa's port-day specials and uncrowded steam rooms. And if you did the 7-night cruise you wouldn't be going to Nassau anyway. Definitely go if you can ( ... )
