i tried to throw an anti-valentines day party way back, but it never took off.

good to hear you're alive and kickin even if its only to rant about v-day - you're right, its stupid people need to be reminded of this shit.

No, I just disagreed with it. Valentines day is a time of the year when society tells us to focus on one part of our lives. If you happen to be doing well in that regard, you feel good. If you happen to be doing badly in that regard, you feel bad. You, Maggie, might think that this particular aspect of most peoples' lives isn't worth including in your own (although that would be a change from the last time I was aware of your stance), but I don't.

As always, I try to force myself to ignore my weakness, but this month makes it harder to ignore. I am both thankful and resentful for that. Do you understand my point? And do you still think I don't understand yours?
