Fashion Post (which may only interrest Abi and possibly G)

Has anyone noticed how Kera issues are increasingly unoriginal? I was just looking at June's issue a few minutes ago and thought to myself: "Those HORRIBLE pants are STILL in fashion?!". Then, I started noticing that most of the clothes looked the same than Kera's previous issue, which happened to look similar to the previous's previous and so on ( Read more... )

damn not much room for improovement... nothing really it just looks the same old same old... kinda boring actually and yeah punk is a 80's mouvement so naturally it's going to look like it stayed in that era. But gotta say love the Punk from 2011 more than the 2009. am I right to say that the 2009 design look less exciting then the more recent ones? they look more done up IMHO

Punk 2011 looks good AS LONG AS THEY DON'T USE THE HORRIBLE PARACHUTE PANTS THAT THEY SEEM TO BE USING 95% OF THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KERA used to be much more interesting back then. GLB too. now it's just constant rehashing and wearing brand with all the similar looking prints and boring coordinates ARGH
this is why i no longer wear loli

YES. Thank you.
I used to turn to KERA & G&L Bible for inspiration.

Now, even Japanese street fashion shots from amateur blogs have more style and originality than two of the 'leading' magazine on Japanese street fashion.

Where the hell are the fresh trends like dolly-kei (aka Grimoire)? It's not even mentioned. They are definitely missing out on the movement. It seems to be like they likely will be abandoned by consumers at some point.

I notice it too, that all the issues start to blend together after a while of reading them...and I stopped reading them. It used to be that there was really great things in each issue that set each one apart from another, or even a theme....now not so much. I wonder if the culture really is dying, but I mean it wasn't very big to begin with?

I think the culture is evolving, not dying, and that the magazine are not embracing the new styles. There are amazing trends out there, in the streets, started by regular people, just like the styles that founded KERA and G&L Bible once were. Why aren't they latching onto them?

I know nothing about fashion, but it's true that nothing changed!
