AUTHOR:Fee Folay

FANDOM: Star Trek. In my mind, the characters are the Nutrek: ST XI versions, but I think you could safely picture them as TOS as well. Although I generally find the TOS versus AOS versions of the characters clearly distinguishable from each other, due to the unique point of view in this story there is nothing which makes it ( Read more... )

There are two kinds of disturbing writings: one, the kinds that are unjustifiably disturbing and just written for the shock value. and two, the kinds that are disturbing, but remain readable and interesting. Yours was most definitely the latter kind.

I really don't know what else to say. It would feel weird to say that I enjoyed reading this... but I kind of did. Even though it creeped me out completely.

But this was original and really well written.
Thank you.

Roadwaffle recced this to me today and I liked this. I am really-really impressed how well you gave the 1st person voice of a such alien life-form. Very good, that.
As for horror, gore and PTSDs.... I think I am going to go and have another slice of the effing PINK cake a relative brought for Valentine´s day. This in its utter icky color fits the story in my twisted opinion... and I am really freaking people off now, am I not? *sigh* ok, I am weird! And I should have been a pathologist, considering how THIS made me feel hungry...

LOL! Pink cake? Okay, so now this is offically the first story I have ever written that made one person vomit, and made another reader crave pink cake.

There is something very strange about that.

Thank you for dropping in to read - and tell Roadwaffle thanks for the rec. I am not well known in fandom circles so I appreciate spreading the word.

I will thank her, sure. She gives me the best tips and hints!

And, yes, I ate a slice. Not nausea as of yet! *grin*

It's creepy. And cool. But creepy.

Like the addendums. Reminds me that, like SGA, aside from the routine reports they write, they probably do a million research and scientific papers which must be part of the prestige of being on the Enterprise. Talk about cutting edge...

Thanks for writing. :)

Thanks for the comment! And Glad you liked the addendums. It was rather fun to try and decide who would write what and where it would be located at Fleet. Yes, I think folks tend to forget, the Enterprise was also a bit of a research vessel.
