If your building an XMLHttpRequest and are wondering why the request isn't being sent, make sure you actually sent the request to begin with. There went about 3 hours between today and yesterday down the drain. I probably would have noticed sooner if I didn't define my functions in-line that get called when the ready state changes sense the send
