FYI, Jeff, this is just prior to the skiff accident, I guess. Anyone wondering what the brackets stand for, it's my attempt to simplify (laziness and confusion) a situation where Jayne has handwritten, often faultily, a modified future-Chinese character and I don't want to attempt to get pronunciation and write it out wronger. Anyway. Jayne sat in ( Read more... )

Good ficcing! The dialogue is spot-on for these characters, as far as I'm concerned. As for the postscript, your setup seems plausible for the universe. Hard to say what happens to Jayne after the scene you envisioned, and I am of course interested to see what you come up with. Also, I'm interested to meet Danny some day.

Here's an earworm for you. I went into work and boss was listening to Sinatra, and the CD had a song I hadn't heard before, a low, soft, crooning song that begins o/` "Take my love..."o/`

What you said about Danny last night, the nationality, of course I agree with, and Quartermaster of information Simon, here, will have to agree to dole out the rest unless certain priveleged parties do it in his stead.

Oh, and thanks. :)

You have a recognizable pattern out of which someone could write a pamphlet, ala "The Annechen Method of Concise Fiction Narration, Fan Expansion, and Idea Snapshots: An Essay for Fanfiction Scholars in Twelve Sections, Written and Published by and for the Fanfiction Program at Fictionstuff University" or, you know, something like that.

I think you would like (some of) the crew very much. Your phrase response being associated with her in my mind though I don't know her well, and otherwise I don't know why I think this, but I think you already know Kaylee and, as do a large population of persons, somehow, Simon, and he is, as per typical, amused by this. Anyway, the writers of _Firefly_ realize the utter shininess of the word "shiny". :)
