What is with AOL?

I don't have AOL so I don't know all of it's quirks.All I can find out from the AOL page is that sometimes AOL users have trouble sending and receiving mail.I have belonged to several yahoo groups for a while and there seem to be a fairly standard set of rules such as not shouting or calling anybody names.I just realized that some particular users ( Read more... )

I used to have aol a few years back. As I recall, you cant cut up the previous post when replying. You can only include it or not include it (its an option you have to set). I cant remember if you can change the subject line or not. As far as sending and receiving mail, aol is notorious for blocking ISPs. I still have an AIM email account and it is forever putting things in the spam folder that dont belong there. If the aol servers receive a lot of mail from one place then it will block it as spam.

One AOL user says that she cuts and pastes what she is replying to.It seems to me that you could also cut and paste part of a message.Equally annoying is the message that you cannot tell what it is a reply to.
