Love?

I think it's something we all need to define for ourselves, Irvine. It's different each time. It's undefinable and precious and what keeps us from the Darkness. Love is not something we can give and take easily, it is something we hide because we are selfish. Love should be distributed freely, I think.

It's different for each person and each time you fall in love. When I loved Cloud, I wanted him to protect me and whisk me away into... Costa Del Sol or something. I wanted to be his everything. But now, with... you-know-who, it's different, because he acknowledges I can take care of myself. I love him because he knows me, and even for all his coarse words, he'd never hurt me. I'm not his everything, but I'm something to him. Does that make sense to you, Irvine?
