CANON SYNOPSIS:ONORATA-VERSE BACKGROUND:
Franky was raised by a very traditional family in Reggio Calabria. He grew into the Flam Family trade, carpentry and construction. …Well, one other thing the Flam family did was a lot of work for the Vescovo family. It'd been that way for as long as anyone could remember. Franky's father knew the Vescovos were good to them, and in return they were good to the Vescovos. Franky was taught that you had to earn respect and the right to delinquency, and his father was strict as you can get about Franky learning structural engineering and construction management so he too could one day, inherit the family business and continue to provide excellent work for the Vescovos.
When he was a teenage, the government raided his father's office headquarters. A proud man, unwilling to leave in handcuffs, battled from behind his desk. The government was too good for that… they managed to take him down without killing him.
Franky learned his father was being arrested and ran to the offices as quickly as he could, but it was too late. In an attempt to stop them, he threw himself in front of an armored police van. The government presumed he was dead and broke up the Flam family company.
But, Franky wasn't dead, nor was he alone. His father's connections with Vescovos and the money he left behind in places where the government couldn't reach left Franky with a life insurance policy and a chance to be rebuilt. …Franky always liked mechanical things, and seeing as he was 90% dead he really had no problem being rebuilt as a cyborg. Larger, stronger, and more handsome than he was in his natural state, Franky made a vow to the Vescovos- …it would be unreasonable to declare vendetta against the government by himself… But he would devote every fiber of his being to the Family and live the rest of his life as reparations to the people who supported his family and saved his life. That was 17 years ago. Now, 34, Franky is climbing his ranks in the family as a devoted captain.
….He also still does engineering and construction work, as well. You know how much a human body changes the bearing stress of a poured, Portland concrete foundation? Franky does.
