I know this probably isn't allowed but I need to post this it is extremely important to me and if any of you can help that would make my day, I would be forever in your debt!!
:(
Sorry Mods, if this is not allowed feel free to delete it.

Today my dad told me that Rich and I have to get rid of our dog Brody. He needs more attention than most dogs because he has separation anixety and nobody is home enough at my place to provide this attention to him.

Tonight Rich was all ready to take him to a Shelter but I talked him into waiting until Saturday or Sunday, because I really hate the idea of dropping Brody off at a shelter it kills me to think of it because I won't know what kind of home he ends up in or what kind of people his new owners will be and that terrifies me, he deserves a good life. I'm hoping that by having until Saturday or Sunday I'll be able to find him a home with someone I know or will be able to meet so I can assure myself that he will be in good hands.

Please, if you are interested in taking Brody or know someone who might be email me at xcandy_dustx@hotmail.com and let me now ASAP. Please I REALLY desparately need your help with this, I refuse to put my dog in a shelter where god knows what might happen to him!!
Thank you! There's some info about him at the bottom....

Name: Brody

Age: He'll be one year old in February

Breed: He's part Yellow Lab and part Pitbull

Location: Cobourg, Ontario, Canada

Info: Brody is fixed and has all of his shots. He loves car rides and being in the front seat of the car. Brody insists on being close to his owner and cuddling. You could leave the room for 2 seconds and when you return Brody will act like you've been gone for a year. He attaches himself to people very quickly. He's extremely friendly and loves to give kisses, play, and meet new people. He is excellent with children, cats, other dogs and all people. He is afraid of people wearing bike helmets and has a tendancy to bark and growl at them until they take the helmet off (we aren't sure why). Brody is also Cage trained and will go into a cage with a little coaxing.

Tricks: Sit, shake a paw, lay down, sit pretty (you have to put your arm out in front of him for him to put his paws on, he's still perfecting this one.), and roll over (he expects his belly to be rubbed after doing this trick.) He will do these tricks without receiving a treat, just put your thumb and a finger together and hold your hand above his head out of reach and say for example "Brody, sit" he will sit.

History: The only history of Brody that we are aware of is that he was a stray and picked up at the side of the road in Cobourg, he was then brought to the Shelter of Hope and stayed there for a short time until Rich and I picked him up, at that time he was 7 months old. He has been with us since. With us he lived with 4 cats, a dog, and a chinchilla all of which he gets along with wonderfully. He has also been exposed to children quite often and other dogs and we have never had a problem. The youngest child he has been around is a 2 year old little girl and when she cries he is very attentive to her and attempts to calm her down and will not leave her side until she has stopped crying. He plays well with the cats and other dog at our house. He seems to be very attentive and alert which makes him an excellent watch dog at night.

Reason for giving him up: As stated before no one is home enough to give him the amount of attention he requires due to the separation anixety and because we are not here he lashes out and chews anything around him to show us how upset he has been, we've been doing our best to train him not to and he is doing it less but if he stays with us this behaviour will never stop our only other option is to lock him in his cage all day until we get home from work, that's 8 hours a day every day and I really don't think that is fair to him, I think it is animal cruelty and I will not be a part of it.

If you want any more information on Brody feel free to email me and I will reply ASAP! xcandy_dustx@hotmail.com I will email my phone number or call anyone who request it about Brody.

Please help me find him a good home for his sake, he is a truly wonderful dog and completely innocent and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something horrible happened to him.

Thank you!

xoxo
