i'm in sackville but i'm leaving tomorrow. i hung out with with danica and kaelie and nathan and ?doug? here who all know you. i really wanted to meet this shannon person cause i've read so many of her zines but it doesn't look like it'll happen this time. my friend brian who i'm staying with knows her too. we went to halifax this weekend and i saw your picture at the ark. i figured it must have been half recent cause you had the tatoos i think you got in st. john's. i had no idea you were such a good writer til i read your journal. i mean that as a compliment. hang in there.

Man, I LOVE Halifax! Yes, no joke, I've really been there. My first boyfriend, a travelling Canadian who came to Australia, was from NS and I moved there for 6 months once. (I've even been to St John's, if you mean Nfld.) I remember this ace cafe/restaurant/bar thing in Hfx called The Cave. All little rooms and things... Très romantique...
How well do you know the Hfx music scene? Curious to find out about one of the guys in Blue Something... D'oh!

Big hugs Dan. Feel free to call me when you get the gumption no matter what the hour!
I got all nostalgic today too as I was walking to school. I threw a mixed tape you made me into my walkman (how oldschool eh?!) and got all perky. I had been uber-cranky (is that a word?) but your tape made me smile. I was singing along to what words I did know and smiling at my more favorite songs on the tape. I'm sure some people thought I was a little off as I walked with a spring in my step!
