Believe me, I've felt your pain. Lost two harddrives on my desktop computer to total failure (head crashed into the disk). Had WIP video projects, years' worth of photos that I didn't have saved anywhere else, tons and tons of artwork, fanart, fanfiction, AIM logs, everything. On top of that, my external harddrive was formatted over when I was trying to install XP on my new laptop because I'm a fucking moron and didn't unplug the external drive.

Frankly, I'm sitting on all three and just waiting until I'm magically rich and can get the data professionally recovered. I don't want to risk killing everything by turning them on again.

I'm so, so sorry you're having to go through this, too. D: You'll hate yourself for a few months but eventually the loss won't feel as devastating.

Geek Squad is basically a scam, trust me. You should never pay them money. If you really need help, I'd drive all the way to Irvine to go to Fry's or something. (Unless you have one, IDEK.)

Good luck on getting it fixed, though :x

As an IT guy, I have to concur with devilishkurumi. Don't go to Geek Squad. This is one of those times that I wish I was there because I'd recover your hard drive for free.
