I am at work. I will be at work for possibly the next three hours. And I am bored. The woman who usually covers the front desk in the music office has taken a personal day, so I valiently offered to sit here until 4. (well, the money's not horrible either). Hopefully (somewhere, something in Mr. Mell's brain just twitched), it will be quiet

I sure appreciate this! And I especially liked the Mell comment, because I still use "hopefully" in the non-Mell-endorsed manner. I can not begin to tell you how many times I'm writing essays and I hear Mr. Mell's voice reminding me how to use words and phrases and such. And, every so often, I see him standing at the front of the classroom calling out, "Eeeeeeee!"

I agree. Just the other day I was thinking about the word "hopefully" and Mr. Mell's clear voice popped into my head, warning me against it.
