Well, I've been really busy so I haven't posted anything in a while. Anyway, here's a little preview of a project that I'm hoping to get done by the end of the month.

That looks really swanky. Very natural. Sometimes my brush strokes look too mechanical and people start to assume they were done in Illustrator. :(

Thanks! I'm always worried my stuff looks too messy or sketchy. Or not sketchy enough. I dunno, I really struggle with going back and forth between really clean lines and more loose strokes.

I think it's cool how your art comes out so clean and crisp, but your sketches are really loose and gesture-y. I always have to really clean up my sketches before I can ink them.

I think your art looks really spiffy when it it loose and gestural. My sketches are REALLY loose. I like to leave room to improvise with the inks. Define a lightsource, block in limbs, go to town.

Yeah, I'm horrible at improvising with my inks. I have a real piecemeal style and I end up re-drawing and erasing lines hundreds of times. If I do that with my inks I lose alot of the spontenaeity (sic) and it gets really messy. The bad type of messy.

We should exchange sketches sometime, it might be interesting to see how you interpret my lines and vice versa.
