I don't want to go.  I hate the host, and every one of her arrogant, snobbish relations.  ---The whole lot of them; pricks one and all.  [That should say something coming from me...]

Did I mention the dinner? 
That's always fun, right?

But of course, I'll do my best, regardless of how I feel.  Pretend that I'm gracious and pleasant and coy...

It's a graduation party for a very old 'friend' of mine. We were forced to play as children, but in truth, we've always, always competed. As for me, I was invited for several reasons: 1. "give me money", 2. "bring me a gift", and 3. "I have a degree, come look at what I can afford".

She's loaded with cash, I'm 80 pounds smaller.. I suppose it all evens out.

Yeah. I wasn't invited for any good reason, but, there's no denying that I'm a good actor. I should come as the fucking Prince of Wales. ---Well-groomed and personable. It would surprise everyone.

Just pretending to be someone better.
Who knows. Could be fun.

Well, when I think about it, pretending is all I've ever done. Even as the person that writes in this journal. The real me is detestable. Presenting myself as someone else---it's really not so bad.
