Ever since I read the mutant drabbles, I've been unable to get this storyline out of my head! I'm so glad you decided to turn this into a fic; I enjoyed getting to know how the tidbits interconnected together. I rarely get to see Jaehwan's mature side in any fic lol, so insightful Jaehwan made me happy :D
And you know what it means when you leave the origins of our combustible mutant pair unexplained (golden eyes I read that :p), sequel yay! Haha but seriously I would read even a billion more fics if you wrote mutant!au. I had a great time reading this, looking forward to more of your works :)

AHHH it's so excellent and poignant and there's so much depth to the storyline I just-- I'm highly appreciative of AUs that are more than just overlaying a theme but actually ARE their own universes. PLFFHHBT. <3

yes there are different types of mutants. tbh, they aren't /technically/ fire mutants, except for hakyeon who can actually create fire, the rest of them just control fire by manipulating the different elements of fire (oxygen, fuel, heat), so to answer your other question, jaehwan (like taekwoon) controls the level of oxygen in the air, and sanghyuk can control the fuel (yes i know wtfbbq, BUT I NEEDED THE THIRD FACTOR...)
is hakyeon slowly dying um.... technically... no.... more to be explained in the sequel/prequel that WILL NEVER HAPPEN

Okay, so, I'm really sad that Hakyeon has such a hard time, but Taekwoon is there for him which makes it so much better. And the way Taekwoon takes the heat from Hakyeon even though it hurts him, and how Hakyeon doesn't seem to think he deserves Taekwoon but at the same time doesn't want him to ever leave...it all just pulls at my heartstrings so much.
Thank you for this, really. You're fantastic and there are not enough authors in the VIXX fandom right now. Thanks for sharing your talents with us!

Hongbin is such an adorable little bugger. His "fake innocence" made me giggle a lot. His dynamic with Wonshik is beautiful--the way they fit together, how Wonshik will pretty much do anything to make Hongbin happy. I also like that Wonshik was so smitten in spite of being worried the Hakyeon would kill him for touching Hongbin.
Their powers are so cool--but also scary! The hint that Wonshik might end up like Hakyeon is kind of terrifying, so I would love to see where that goes. I'm also curious to learn more about Jaehwan and Sanghyuk, who seem fantastic but don't appear much. Responsible!Jaehwan is a rare sight.
Okay I don't even know what I'm doing and this is why I shouldn't comment on things late at night, but just...I have a lot of thoughts that were slowly seeping out and I wasn't sure what to do with them. I might actually be done spamming you now, though. Stay awesome!
