Oct. 31 2009 - A scruffy Bradley James and his thumb ring are back. Picture copyright belongs to

The story of Bradley James' ring began long before Merlin era. First, it appeared in
Portobello 196 / Dec. 2007
It looks like Bradley didn't take off his ring while playing Ben (who channels his inner
Merlin, watch me!) in Dis/Connected either.
Dis/Connected Wrap Party (Picture Source:
Bradley-James.com) - The other guy (Kyle Redmond-Jones) also plays Sir Owain in Ep. 9 - Excalibur. The ring has a very simple design. It had been with him all the time.
In another party with some of the Dis/Connected cast mates. He still wore the same ring.
March 2008. Bradley got his breakout role - Arthur in BBC/Shine's production of Merlin. He wore this ring to one of his first read-throughs with future co-star Colin Morgan.
MCM Expo London / Oct. 2008 - (Pictures sources:

Something For The Weekend / Nov. 2008
Glamour Magazine Photoshoot / Jan. 2009 - He even wore the ring to the photoshoot.
Feb. 2009 - Bradley and his ubiquitous ring + co-star Colin Morgan did GMTV. And I just realise that Bradley is an organised person. He has this ring for all these years and has not lost it. I can never do that. And it seems he is NOT a person who always wants to get something new. Now I love him more (Is it even possible?)
After that, the ring disappeared from public eyes for about 8 months (coinciding with the shooting of Merlin Series 2).
We saw it again in the documentary - The Real Merlin and Arthur (Oct. 28- 30, 2009)
On Oct. 31, 2009, Bradley wore it to the Fobidden Planet Book Signing Event. (Picture copyright belongs to

Nov. 5, 2009 - A Night Less Ordinary (Tricycle Theatre, London)
Nov. 12, 2009 - Cardiff's Winter Wonderland - Xmas Lights Switch On
Nov. 21 2009 - Inside the World of Merlin with BAFTA
Dec. 2, 2009 - Paul O'Grady Show
However, Arthur - The Crowned Prince of Camelot has his own ring. Bradley's ring may be too simple for a prince.
