Three weeks from Sunday and I become a Mrs.

GODIamsofuckingnervous.

I really want to put up an actual update, but I (still) have too much to get done. Fall quarter should be out of the way by the 17th, so I'll probably have a fantastic tildurupdate. I mean tl;dr update.

SO HOW IS EVERYONE DOING IN LIFE O: I LIKE TO PRETEND GOSSIP IS FUN. ( Read more... )

Kind of random, but I just did a paper on types of Islamic Weddings and I'm curious to hear about yours. Do you do any of the pre-ceremonial traditions like the henna or bath?

Yesssss we do henna :D And FULL-BODY WAXING. Not looking forward to that D:

In Sudanese culture the wedding is also supposed to take place over a span of days...like a long weekend devoted to the reception party XD We won't be doing that here though...the US makes it too costly.

We (the bride and groom) will also be taking the traditional route of being seated on a super-decorated platform/stage with family and friends coming up to congratulate us.

I think we also care more about the food than the centerpiece XD

D: At least you'll be smooth?

Yeah! Like I was reading that a couple countries do that and I was like "We take a week to get ready for the day, and you guys take months to get ready for the week, which includes the day" XDD

Do you walk down the isle with a Zeffa, or are you carried on a bed to the platform or something? How you even enter the reception hall changes depending on the country, too. I was quite fascinated XD

I don't blame you XD. Do you invite anyone who is around or just family and friends? Didn't know EVERYONE was invited to weddings, even if you didn't know them, either XD

XD I guess so ♥ And yes, it normally takes forever but that's difficult here when we're all full-time busy.

I will totally have a Zeffa leading me into the reception hall from my limo XD My parents claimed to make damn sure of that.

P.S. Part of me really really really wants to dress up as Jasmine and put James in Al's wedding garb :X~~~

HOLY BALLS LATE ABOARD

/fails forever and ever

Extremely Belated Congratulations are in order. o___o;; It's always totally surreal to me whenever somebody on my flist gets married or has a kid or something sldjljfkdf lmfao. ♥;;

IT'S BEEN A WHILE.

On this end, I am moving out of my parents' house. :>;; This has the potential to be either the best thing that's ever happened to me, an unqualified disaster, or somehow both at the same time. I VOTE FOR #3. :Db Anyway, I hope everything is going well with the prep on your end and all. XD Do we get pictures when it goes down~?

p.s. I'm extreme on Tegaki. :D I'll add you once I get home.

Thank you :D;~ It HAS been a while.

Yay for moving out~ Hopefully it's on good terms with the parentals D: I think it'll be a disaster at first XD Till you get the hang of New Life at least.

Prepping is coming along as smoothly as the economy allows >_>;;; So uh, it's stressful XD

YAY TEGAKI.

beep beep luvu2 and I'm doing so much better than I was last week. I forced myself to cut back severely on drinking and that seemed to make everything else improve on its own. Next time this happens I'm going straight to AA.

Of course you're doing fine because you're fabulous like that XD ♥

Teaching English to kids in Spain. And trying to learn Spanish. It's very interesting, especially as it makes you realise how difficult English must be for people who don't have it as a first language.

Best of luck on the big day!

Man, I can't believe you're going to be a Mrs before me! :)

I have to admit I'm also quite curious about the ceremony as I've only ever attended Catholic and Pagan weddings. So would be nice to hear what the ceremony is like/what you guys do etc

And above all - I'm sure you'll look FAB!
