The paper said that he hit the ground runnin'

The defining theme of this past weekend's trip to New Orleans was one of reunion of old friends. (Though, I suppose, a secondary motif of drunkeness was also prevalant.) Even my ride to Baton Rouge involved me seeing Leslie and Matt for the first time in about the same length of time for the both of them. At the Ninfa's in Baton Rouge where Matt ( Read more... )

I tried to track you down a few times, to no avail. Sorry I missed you!

When I had finally found you, Noah informed me that I could go hassle a very hungover Mike and I decided you'd probably rather I not.

He exaggerated how hungover I was. He thought because I had thrown up and didn't want to risk eating Denny's, I must have been in the worst physical pain imaginable. Trust be told, I was feeling quite fine, just a little anxious to get on the road. Granted, we wouldn't have been able to talk very long had you stopped by.. but next time I come to town (which will hopefully be soon, and for a longer period of time) I will be sure to get ahold of you.

ps- the argument with a certain person in your recent LJ update was fascinating to watch, as terrible as I feel for saying it. ;)

Mike, you forgot to talk about how wonderful I am and how I contributed to your weekend. The following would be appropriate to have stated: "Thanks to Leslie for driving me." "I regret not only being hung over, but taking an extra three hours to get to Baton Rouge." or even "It was really great of Leslie to go out of the way to drive me to my house in the Woodlands, thus causing her to get home at 2:30, not sleep, and fail a quiz. Thanks Leslie for driving me." All of these would have been nice. Don't worry, I still accept grovelling and profuse thanks. Also, I will be in town Oct. 13 so you may collect your CD's then, unless I go to Aggieland the 9th, at which point I might be able to deposit them at your door. That aside, it was good to see you, Mike. Glad you had fun.
<3 Leslie

WOW RUFUS, YOU SURE ARE SMART TO LEAVE YOUR CDS BEHIND.

*ahem* And I think that last 'say' was a touch unnecessary! However, it sounds likea good time, which I think you probably needed. So all in all it sounds worth it.

If you are referring to my "say thank ya" line, it is crazy speak from The Dark Tower.

Ahhh, glad to see you back. Going to be more discrete with your LJ this time around? ;)

He might try to be descrete, but I think I'll just make up terribly incriminating stories and comment about them on all of his posts.

Ex. So Brian, I was wondering what you did with my pipe. I certainly do not wish to freebase the rest of this crack. Hit me up with that shit B.

Oh ho ho ho ho...
