I've been exploring music the last while, and found a musician I'm really fallen for, and who I think johnny9fingers will also fall for, if he doesn't know her already. So here he goes, because I don't know how less publicly to send her him.

Thanks for that. :) a real blast from the past.

There is a lot to love here. Great playing...and my that horn player has a lovely choice of note. Magnificent playing from Ms Remler on guitar, but when was she otherwise? Such a loss. She should be better known. Almost makes me want to get a 335/355. Or maybe a 175.

I shouldn't so much as have wondered whether you'd know her! I don't suppose you have any records of hers lying about? I'm finding it very hard to get at them for less than collector prices!

Well, iirc I only remember listening to her after she died. Also, I may have had an album, but I recall I split up with my then long-term gf at the time and our albums got divided...:( so alas the answer is no.

Also, at the time I think I was trying to do something a bit more Little Feat/Black Crowes, so my head was in a different space for playing.

I do think she is awesome on rehearing.

It's been a couple of years since I remembered the existence of LJ Philosophy forum. I went there and now you're in charge, along with... Someone who is apparently pushing functionalism.

Alright. I'll admit that I was a bad boy back in, what... was it, 2004? 2006? I don't remember.

Anyhow, I would abide by the rules outlined should I be allowed to participate again.

If anything, the inevitable back and forth between me and "that guy" alone would revive the forum. I don't know how much coding or engineering that guy does, but as an engineering designer I think functionalism when it comes to the mind is....... Let's just say I HIGHLY beg to differ.

If not, no biggie- I've got plenty of other places I'm already busying myself with.

But I should still be "moderating" some defunct LJ communities if those aren't gone yet- I'll go figure out those mod menus when I have time.
