Take the batteries out (and open up the case if you can) and let it dry out for several hours or until you're sure it's completely dry inside. After it's good and dry, put the batteries back in. If it's ever gonna work again, it'll work then.
I suppose I could track down a replacement via Sylvania, though I do appreciate the idea of having one instead of four remote controls laying around in my bedding ready to get thrown into the washing machine.
