Weekend

It rained all day Saturday, so we were unable to visit the zoo. Instead we saw The A-Team and visited our favorite liquor store, Julio's. I picked up a variety 12-pack of Woodchuck Cider and discovered that the mystery variety (besides Amber, Dark & Dry, and Granny Smith) was a Limited Edition Spring Cider that I had missed in stores. I need to find someplace around here that actually sells varieties of Woodchuck. I'm usually lucky if I can find the original at either Stop n Shop or Waldbaum's. *grumbles* When I was in Philly, the local convenience store next to my friend's apartment building had like 20 different types of Woodchuck including pear and raspberry -- why is it so hard to find them anywhere normal on Long Island?

That sandwich sounds waaaay too good. It is a shame they can't be saved. :-(

Btw, I am going to be in Nashua on my own from Tuesday thru Friday morning. I don't know what your work schedule is like or how hard it would be for you to come into town, but if there's any chance we could meet for dinner, let me know? :)

Cider is abundant around here but strangely difficult to find in other areas. We used to search in vain for it in LA during Gallifrey; now we can usually find one brand (Hornsby's) at Ralph's.

Sadly, weeknights are tricky for me and I wouldn't be able to get up to Nashua. Wish you were there through the weekend. I'll see you in a little over a month, though!

I'm going to my friend's house in Salem (NH) for the weekend. She's having a birthday party/Dr Who marathon party on Saturday -- if you'd like, I can ask her if I can invite you. It's pretty informal and just sort of a hang out/tv party. If not, yeah, just a month.

Have I mentioned how little I've gotten done that I need to for the con?! GAH! :)

I think I've read the name "latke stuffer" twice now as "latke suffer." Which evokes a very, very different image...
