(53) PSA For New Arrivals [Video/Voice][Unfiltered][Flagged]

[The feed opens with Oliver pushing hair out of his eyes. He looks like he's had a bit of a rough night, but he is smiling. He clears his throat.]

Right-o.

I'm Oliver. Last night, or this morning, we have had a lot of people show up, a lot more than we've ever had show up at once before. So I'm going to make this so everyone is on the same page and we can go from there...everyone else, let me know if I forget something, eh?

Right. This city, this world, is called Adstringendum. Latin, or so I've been told, for 'compressed' or something like that. Reason for the name is that some blathering idiots decided to try something they shouldn't have, and the messed up. They messed up bad. Destroyed their world, and then tore the whole fabric of reality a new one, too. And that's when all of our worlds, and God knows how many more, started to get pulled here. One of the side effects of all of this happens to be, well, us. We're sucked into the city or the wastes, and we're trapped here.

Really trapped, I mean. Death is meaningless...well. No. But you aren't allowed to stay dead here. You come back. And in doing so, you pay a price for it. The Voices take something from you when they send you back. And you en't gunna see what it is 'til it's too late.

Sometimes, people vanish...sure. But there's not control over it.

Er.

The city itself is called the 'safezone'. Mostly, it's free from mutant monsters and the shifts that are found beyond the fenced borders, out in the 'wastes' or 'wastelands'. They are dangerous, it's best to stay in the fences.

Some people here are dangerous; some even more so than others. So be careful.

Er.

Anything fluffy and small, avoid on principle, especially rabbits and cats. They are dangerous. The creeper, too, likesto grab at you.

Er.

Different worlds means different people and even species. So expect oddities. No offence, anyone, but yeah. Some worlds are very strange to others. Just how it goes.

Er.

'S all I can think of right off...god. Housing for everyone is going to be hard to come by. So many buildings are unstable and dangerous, so be careful. Er. Miss Unohana, Ginia, Lockon, Lelouch, Alphonse, Miss Murrue anyone else with ideas on housing, shall we try to figure something out? I think there might be a few hotels in the area with all the big big buildings, but I'm not sure they are at all safe, and I know that most of the apartment complexes are, well, only partially cleared for living. Any ideas?

Food is an issue, too. It's the end of winter, so there isn't a whole lot. I mean, we'll have to hunt for canned goods and the like brought in back in January when everything shifted.

Newbies, everyone who just got here, any concerns or questions, this is a good place to address them. If I don't know I'll find the answers for you. Also, please respond, so we can have an idea as far as how many people actually arrived in the last twenty-four hours, all right?

Er...everyone. Let's see if we can coordinate some way of handling this...the clinics are going to be swamped, so we'll have to move anyone not injured out, at least for now, I'd think. Maybe even some people who are living at them, at least temporarily, until we get everything sorted out.

EDIT 1: Please, be careful with your names. Sometimes, with a full name, you may be put in danger.

((OOC: Um. Working on bag tags, and several bag logs, too. Timing keeps being awkward. I have tomorrow/tonight/monday morning off, so I'm hoping to be caught up. Whee.))
