muse_manifesto 15: "The first time I saw..."
The first time I saw Alec… it was back at Manticore. Him coming into my barracks thinking he was all of that. Though since we’re transgenics I guess you could say that we are. After all, we’re not exactly ordinary and were given the perfect genetics. But, yeah, first time I saw him… it hurt. I felt like my heart had been ripped out. I’m sure Manticore knew what they were doing when they sent him in to me. Knew how much it would hurt for me to look at his face. Oh… and they expected me to breed with him. So wasn’t going to happen.
You see it isn’t that Alec isn’t good looking. He is. And don’t get me wrong, I’d do him. But the first time I saw him that thought would’ve never occurred to me. If only because he looked just like my big brother, Ben. Mind you, he’s not as crazy as Ben was. I’ll give him that. And once you get to know him he’s a great guy.
I may not tell him… may not say it but I like having him around. Keeps a girl sane. Even if he does get on a girl’s nerves. But I wouldn’t expect anything else out of him. After all… Alec is Alec.
I wouldn’t change that for the world.
