Aw, I'm glad things are going well and Ruan doesn't seem to have a problem with Ori! It's always hard to blend families...

The café Bilbo took him to reminded Ori of Dori's restaurant, with the addition of greenery. A lot of greenery.

Oooh, I wondered if it might Thranduil & Son, but Sam, that's wonderful! I can totally see him in a garden bistro...

He glanced at his son with a raised eyebrow. "I do have a lover."

"Why haven't I met him, then?" Ruan raised his eyebrow right back.

Ha! I like the image of Ruan having some of the same mannerisms as his father and using them against him when necessary. :)

Well, Ruan hasn't had a chance to get to know Ori yet, mind you. That being said, I can't imagine anyone not liking Ori. ;)

I didn't get to work it into the story, but they went to Hamfast's café. Sam works there with an eye towards taking over the business.

Ruan reminded his mother of Dwalin so much and Dwalin sees a lot of her in Ruan, too.
